Along the way, explore UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate’s famed kasbahs, and the fragrant Rose Valley before overnighting in the scenic Dades Valley. Continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges, then ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a magical sunset and night under the stars in a Berber desert camp. Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Morning departure from Marrakech and travel through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping frequently for panoramic views and photos of Berber villages. Next, visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic film location.
Afterward, enjoy lunch locally and continue to Ouarzazate, the “Gate of the Desert,” where you can explore the Taourirt Kasbah. Then, drive through the fragrant Rose Valley and the Skoura palm grove, home to historic kasbahs and damask roses. By evening, arrive in the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trek
After breakfast, explore the Dades Valley with its kasbahs and dramatic landscapes. Then, drive to the Todra Gorges for a short walk, photos, and to admire the towering cliffs. Next, have lunch in Tinejdad or Touroug before continuing to the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga.
In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the golden dunes and watch the sunset. Finally, arrive at the Berber desert camp for dinner under the stars and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Anti-Atlas – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake up early to witness sunrise over the dunes. Then, return by camel to your hotel for breakfast before setting off toward Marrakech. Along the way, pass through the scenic Draa Valley, stopping to admire views along Morocco’s longest river.
Afterward, cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains and stop in Ouarzazate for lunch and a short break. Finally, descend toward Marrakech, arriving in the evening to your hotel or riad, thus concluding your 3-day desert adventure.
