This 2-day desert trip from Marrakech takes you through the stunning High Atlas Mountains and over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. After a stop for lunch, continue through Ouarzazate and the beautiful Draa Valley, passing Berber villages and palm groves on the way to Zagora. There, you’ll ride camels into the desert to catch the sunset and spend the night in a traditional Berber camp.
Day-1 Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora
Depart early from your hotel in Marrakech, driving through the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 meters altitude. Continue to visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a stunning fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Lunch will be arranged along the way, depending on time.
In the afternoon, travel towards Ouarzazate, then head through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Zagora, passing the charming Berber village of Agdez and the scenic Draa Valley—known for its palm groves and traditional kasbahs.
Upon arrival in Zagora, enjoy a camel ride into the desert to watch a spectacular sunset. Spend the night in a traditional bivouac under a Berber tent, where dinner and overnight accommodation are provided.
Day-2 Zagora – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake up early to admire the desert sunrise and return to your camp for washing and breakfast.then heading back to Marrakech, traveling again through the Draa Valley and the village of Agdez. Lunch will be served en route.
Arrive in Marrakech by afternoon, where your tour concludes.
