This 6-day tour takes you from the buzzing streets of Marrakech to the quiet beauty of the Sahara Desert. You’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, visit ancient kasbahs, wander through gorges, and ride camels into the dunes of Merzouga. Along the way, discover Berber villages, stunning landscapes, and the real heart of Morocco—ending back in Marrakech with unforgettable memories.
Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech in the morning, crossing the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou before continuing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to reach Dades Valley. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a charming riad surrounded by dramatic rock formations.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, explore the spectacular Todra Gorges, then drive toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. In the afternoon, ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to your desert camp. Watch the sunset and enjoy a traditional dinner with Berber music under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga & Cooking Class
Wake up to a stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, join a hands-on cooking class and learn to prepare Moroccan dishes like tajine and Berber pizza. Later, visit Khamlia village to experience Gnawa music and meet local desert families. Overnight in a desert lodge.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Travel through the desert town of Rissani, famous for its traditional markets. Continue via Alnif and Tazzarine, then drive along the lush Draa Valley, dotted with palm groves and kasbahs, before reaching Ouarzazate for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Visit Taourirt Kasbah or Atlas Film Studios before returning through the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon and relax at your riad.
Day 6: Marrakech City Tour & Departure
Discover Marrakech’s highlights—the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Jemaa el-Fna, and colorful souks—before transferring to the airport, ending your unforgettable Moroccan journey.
