This 5 day journey takes you from Agadir through Morocco’s stunning landscapes, from the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas Mountains to the golden Sahara dunes, and ends in Marrakech. Explore ancient kasbahs, Berber villages, palm-filled valleys, and dramatic gorges, experience nomadic life, ride camels across the desert, and enjoy traditional music and cuisine under starry skies.
Day 1: Agadir → Taliouine → Taznakht → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate
Depart Agadir and head to Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, for a local cooperative visit and saffron tea. Continue to Taznakht to see traditional Berber rug weaving. Next, explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, featured in films like Gladiator. Finish the day in Ouarzazate, touring Atlas Studios before dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ouarzazate → Anti-Atlas → Agdz → Alnif → Rissani → Merzouga
Travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains via Tizi N’Tnifift Pass, then the Draa Valley with its vast palm groves. Stop in Nkob and Alnif, followed by the historic souq in Rissani. Arrive in Merzouga for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Merzouga → Erg Chebbi → Nomads → Mifis Mines → Khamlia
Explore the Erg Chebbi dunes, visit nearby nomadic families, and enjoy mint tea. Discover the Mifis mines and the Gnaoua village of Khamlia, experiencing traditional music. After lunch, ride camels across the dunes to your desert camp for sunset, Berber dinner, and starlit overnight.
Day 4: Merzouga → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Wake early for a Sahara sunrise. Travel through Erfoud, learning about its fossils and ancient khettara irrigation systems. Continue through Touroug and Tinjdad for lunch, then explore the towering Todra Gorges before reaching Dades Valley for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Skoura → High Atlas → Marrakech
Depart Dades and visit the Rose Valley and Skoura Oasis, including the historic Amridil Kasbah. Continue through Ouarzazate for lunch, then cross the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying dramatic scenery, before arriving in Marrakech, concluding your adventure.
